Endodontics practice puts down new roots-

Stow — He may have put down new roots at a different location, but for Dr. David Harris, endodontist, root canals are nothing new. Harris, 45, has been in the root canal therapy and treatment business for nearly 15 years.
Previously with another practice at 3611 Darrow Road, his new office, Advanced Care Endodontics, is located at 3869 Darrow Road, Suite 209.
Caring for patients in dental need is a practice that runs in the family, according to Wendy Harris, ACE team member, and the doctor’s wife. With his father an oral surgeon, “David always wanted to be a dentist,” said Wendy, who added that while studying at dental school, Harris discovered his affinity for endodontics.
Then and now, it’s a concern for patients in pain that drives the endodontist, she said.
“He cares about people, and he doesn’t want anyone to be in pain,” she added. “He guides his employees to be the same.” Staffing for the recently relocated practice, which opened for regular business May 4, includes one part-time and four additional full-time employees.
Their new 3,000-square-foot location also affords room for expansion, said Wendy. “We always are trying to improve,” she said. “We love what we do.”
For Dr. Harris, relocating to start a new practice has been, “the culmination of all his experience and his philosophy on how to take care of people,” she added.

“Standard of care is David’s highest priority.” A loyal patient following proves that quality care and authentic concern matters, said Wendy.
From introducing himself to new patients as “David” (and not “Dr. Harris”) to doing a lot of listening and using the latest technology, the doctor’s priority is client comfort, she said.
“A lot of people fear root canal treatment, so we try to take the fear out of [it],” she added. “A lot of people fall asleep in the chair … They feel safe with him.”
